Greetings all, be you citizens of Burnham or nations further afield! I, Basileus Justinian I of the Theodorist Regional Dominion of Burnham, have decided to speak up again in a personal capacity to show my views on events affecting Burnham and I at large. And goodness, have things changed for us since my last audience!
I’ll begin first with the news that today, on the 2nd July 2013, at 7:20PM GMT, I was made Successor to the throne of the Würtige Empire, should anything occur to the current Emperor, HIM Arthur I of Würdigeland. Burnham has been a part of the Würtige Empire since late 2012, and the Emperor and I are firm friends. It is my personal honour to assume the position of Emperor and leader of the Würtige Empire’s member states if Arthur I was to ever abdicate or find his position otherwise untenable. Should I ever become Emperor of the Würtige Empire, then I would most likely assume the regnal name of Arthur II, and would promote Theodorism across the Empire’s lands.
Now, the body of tonight’s audience is in fact related to the orlian College of Cardinals and the Protoculture Papacy of New Wessex. Quite importantly, the Wessaxon papacy has been dissolved, and the Orlian College of Cardinals has moved away from New Wessex to provide Clergymen for the Divine Church of the Parva-Religiones; a new papacy under the Austenasian Throne. From my view, it looks like the deposition of Declan I of Orly¹ rose to a wave of anti-Declanian sentiment from the Orlians and other foreign Micronationals. Sure enough, the Divine Church of the Parva-Religiones was formed, and delegates from the Church and Austenasia have begun the search for land to claim as a Parva-Religiones ‘Papal State’. Declan I, in his capacity as Wessaxon Monarch, dissolved the Protoculture Papacy, despite my protest. I, despite swearing fealty as Pope of the Divine Church (more on this later), pleaded with Declan I for me to finish my term under the papal name of Declan III, that I might complete the oath I made nearly four months ago. My Burnhamite mentality of getting the job done and seeing it through was surplus to requirements, as the Wessaxon king politely requested that I resign, a kindness that eventually I could not refuse.
I became Pope of the Divine Church of the Parva-Religiones on the 26th June 2013, at 10:07PM GMT, under the papal name of Ezekiel I, when Cardinal Bradley of Dullahan uttered the words ‘All hail Pope Ezekiel’ in the Discussion Room of the Divine Church. Under the Divine Church (for which I am Pope for 3 months, similar to my terms under the Protoculture), I intend to work upon the Cult of the Edict of the Three, and finally speak and produce a Sermon, this time under the Parva-Religiones, and not the Protoculture.

Moving on from Papal affairs, Burnham has recently been preparing for the long-awaited festivals of Lúnastal and Tan on the 1st and 6th August respectively. The festival of Lúnastal is expected to be a public affair, with at least two other Burnham citizens expected to arrive for the quartering-of-the-bread ceremony, and to stand to attention while I make a brief speech on the festival and Burnham. A flag has been procured, as stated in a previous news article, I’m sure. A picture of the flag is available, although it is a poor quality picture to say the least. As for the specific location of the Lúnastal events, the quartering-of-the-bread ceremony is expected to be carried out next to Woolfe Junction, the hub of all the roadways in the Settlership.
Anywho, I shall now leave you with a well wishing of all your good affairs in the future. I may well return to describe the Lúnastal festival, if it is not covered by the Burnham Micropress itself. Until such times, I wish you all the best, and remind you that through Theodorism, Burnham has become active and culturally strong, soon to hold it’s first real-life event at Lúnastal. Farewell, readers, for I shall return!
